Help Please

Can anyone tell me what Braxton Hicks contractions feel like? I am pretty sure I had them all day yesterday. For awhile it was around every 15 minutes I felt sick and then I would get painful pressure in my lower back and hips. Gradually this feeling got further apart throughout the day. I am not sure if it is just the typical growing pains or if it is actually Braxton Hicks. Any opinions?

Sorry, I never had Braxton Hicks. My best friend Kristen (Rozi's sister) had them with both babies and what you have described sounds like Braxton Hicks. I would call your doctor's nurse just to get a confirmation.

Did your stomach tighten up until it felt like a very hard basketball? How many weeks are you? I had lots of Braxton Hicks with Ada. They didn't usually hurt, though. I mean, they felt uncomfortable. The main characteristic is that your stomach gets very hard.

Wish I could help, but I never had Braxton Hick contractions, but from what you described it sounds like that's what it was.

I agree w/ LB. Feels like your stomach gets really tight for a few seconds and then goes away. They are random...no method to timing, length, etc.

Real contractions will HURT. And, they will be more regular. I had a lot w/ Kate, too.
